The bourbon essence was formulated to compliment a base produced from activated carbon filtration and oaking using Toasted Oak Chips.
Very good results can be had by adding the essence to the base while still on the toasted oak chip.
Because the Toasted Oak chips tends to have more “body”, the longer the product is left in contact with it, the better the final product seems to be.
